Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9-inch skillet or baking dish.
  2. Whisk 2 large eggs with 3/4 cup sugar until smooth in a bowl.
  3. Add 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  4. Stir in 3/4 cup milk.
  5. Whisk 1 3/4 cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in another bowl.
  6. Fold the dry mix into the wet mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in 1 cup berries or chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25–35 minutes until golden and set.
