- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp dried cilantro
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- Small fajita size flour tortillas
- 1 can refried beans
- Taco sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- Diced tomatoes
- Chopped green onions
- Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it into small pieces.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–5 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, dried cilantro, and cayenne.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Prepare tortillas by lightly frying them in vegetable oil until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
- Assemble pizzas by spreading refried beans on each tortilla, topping with the beef mixture, taco sauce, and shredded cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with sautéed vegetables. Enjoy with side toppings like sour cream and guacamole.
