Description

Deliciously crispy hashbrowns that are low in calories, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 Russet potatoes, grated
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil or avocado oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes before grating them.
  2. Rinse the grated potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch.
  3. Transfer the grated potatoes to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any moisture.
  4. Combine the grated potatoes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add oil.
  6. Spread the potato mixture evenly and cook until golden brown before flipping.
  7. Alternatively, place the mixture in an air fryer and cook according to the manufacturer’s guidelines for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

For an extra crispy texture, remove as much moisture as possible from the grated potatoes. You can also use sweet potatoes for a different flavor.
