- 1 pound green beans, trimmed and cut
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the green beans by blanching them in boiling water for about 3 minutes.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Mix the blanched green beans with the cream sauce and half of the crispy onions in a large bowl.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining crispy onions.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Notes
For best results, use fresh green beans. If needed, you can prepare the casserole a day ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator before baking.
