Description

A comforting bowl inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring tender steak, sautéed vegetables, and gooey cheese over rice or quinoa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • Provolone cheese, shredded
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Push the vegetables to the side and add the sliced sirloin steak, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Serve the steak and vegetable mixture over cooked rice or quinoa.
  5. Top with provolone cheese and let it melt.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcooking the steak for tenderness. Consider marinating the steak overnight for enhanced flavor.
