Description
A refreshing appetizer combining crisp cucumbers and creamy, herb-infused cheese, perfect for gatherings or a light snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 oz dry ranch seasoning packet
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tsp fresh chopped dill
- 1 medium cucumber, sliced thin
Instructions
- Start by preparing your ingredients: chop the fresh dill and thinly slice the cucumber.
- Aim for uniform slices, as this ensures they fit nicely in your pinwheels.
- In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the dry ranch seasoning until you have a smooth, consistent mixture.
- Lay your flour tortillas flat on a clean surface; then, use a spatula to spread about a quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly on each tortilla.
- Next, sprinkle about half a tablespoon of chopped dill over the cream cheese mixture on each tortilla.
- Now, layer the cucumber slices evenly atop the cream cheese.
- Starting from one end, roll the tortilla tightly into a log.
- Wrap each tortilla log in plastic wrap and place them in the fridge for at least one hour.
- When you’re ready to serve, carefully unwrap the logs and slice approximately two inches off each end.
- Slice the remaining log into six equal portions and present your pinwheels flat on a platter.
Notes
Best practices include ensuring your cucumber slices are consistent in thickness for even rolling and flavor distribution.
