  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (for vegan option)
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil spray (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into tenders or bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together honey (or agave), Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Marinate the tofu pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow maximum flavor absorption.
  5. Dredge the marinated tofu in breadcrumbs until well-coated to achieve that crispy finish.
  6. Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and spray with a little oil if desired for added crispiness.
