Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block of firm tofu
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (for vegan option)
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil spray (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into tenders or bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey (or agave), Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the tofu pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow maximum flavor absorption.
- Dredge the marinated tofu in breadcrumbs until well-coated to achieve that crispy finish.
- Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and spray with a little oil if desired for added crispiness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy your delicious meal!
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider double-dipping in the marinade and breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
