- 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions
- Select the right apples, preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Peel and slice the apples into thin wedges.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the apple slices to the skillet.
- Sauté the apples gently for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Sprinkle in the brown sugar and cinnamon, mixing well to coat the apples.
- Continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat to prevent overcooking.
Notes
Serve warm as a side to pancakes or as a dessert over ice cream. Add a sprinkle of nutmeg for extra flavor.
