Description

A delicious blend of tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños that offers vibrant flavors, perfect for parties, barbecues, or casual dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 large sweet white onion (such as Vidalia)
  • 1 Tbsp. diced jalapeño (canned)
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans of green chiles
  • 2 (14 oz.) cans of diced tomatoes (drain one can of juices)
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 3/4 tsp. cumin
  • 3/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. lime juice

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. Combine the diced onion and jalapeño in a food processor.
  3. Pulse until finely diced.
  4. Add in the canned green chiles, diced tomatoes, garlic salt, cumin, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and lime juice.
  5. Blend everything together for a few seconds.
  6. Refrigerate your salsa for at least a couple of hours before serving.
  7. Serve with tortilla chips or drizzled over tacos.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more jalapeños or fresh chopped cilantro. Experiment with different tomato varieties for unique flavors.
