- 1/4 large sweet white onion (such as Vidalia)
- 1 Tbsp. diced jalapeño (canned)
- 2 (4 oz.) cans of green chiles
- 2 (14 oz.) cans of diced tomatoes (drain one can of juices)
- 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 3/4 tsp. cumin
- 3/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. lime juice
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients.
- Combine the diced onion and jalapeño in a food processor.
- Pulse until finely diced.
- Add in the canned green chiles, diced tomatoes, garlic salt, cumin, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and lime juice.
- Blend everything together for a few seconds.
- Refrigerate your salsa for at least a couple of hours before serving.
- Serve with tortilla chips or drizzled over tacos.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more jalapeños or fresh chopped cilantro. Experiment with different tomato varieties for unique flavors.
