Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Combine water, butter, salt, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add the flour all at once and stir until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and well mixed.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to pipe strips of dough into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove churros and drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and coat the churros while still warm.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, ensure your oil temperature is accurate and fry in small batches to prevent overcrowding.
