Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Stir in flour and salt until the dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll dough into small bite-sized pieces.
- Bring water and baking soda to a boil in a pot.
- Boil pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then remove and place on paper towels.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Air fry in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Avoid over-kneading the dough to ensure the pretzel bites remain soft.
