Description

Enjoy homemade Air Fryer Falafel that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, made from chickpeas and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing or spraying)

Instructions

  1. Combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Blend until mostly smooth but still textured.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the flour. Mix until well combined.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
  5. Lightly spray or brush the falafel with olive oil.
  6. Place falafel in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Serve warm with pita, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure chickpeas are well drained to maintain texture. Adjust cooking time based on air fryer performance.
