Enjoy homemade Air Fryer Falafel that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, made from chickpeas and fresh herbs.

- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons flour (gluten-free if needed)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing or spraying)
Instructions
- Combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Blend until mostly smooth but still textured.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the flour. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Lightly spray or brush the falafel with olive oil.
- Place falafel in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve warm with pita, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Ensure chickpeas are well drained to maintain texture. Adjust cooking time based on air fryer performance.
